アメリカのスペースシャトルは、打ち上げ時にまたも耐熱材が剥がれ、国際宇宙ステーションから底面を撮影して画像を分析することになった。これを報じる記事で使われていたのが clean bill of health である。

NASA officials hope the clean bill of health so far indicates they have solved the problem of falling foam from shuttle fuel tanks that caused the Columbia disaster in 2003.

辞書には、an assurance that someone is healthy or something is in good condition という定義があり、今回のシャトルの記事にあるように、人（の健康）以外のものに「おすみつき」を与える場合にも使われるようだ。
