whistle-blower, blow the whistle 「タレコミ」 [単語・表現]
But the mystery of Deep Throat, who had become a metaphor for the secret insider blowing the whistle, only grew with the years. Who was he? Why had he talked?
- a person who tells someone in authority about something illegal that is happening, especially in a government department or a company
- one who reveals wrongdoing within an organization to the public or to those in positions of authority
tell tales (on somebody またもon ) とか tell tales out of school という表現もあるが、オンラインの辞書には、Both may be obsolescent.
