- the sudden, high, unpleasant noise sometimes produced by an amplifier when sound it produces is put back into it:
Jimi Hendrix loved to fling his guitar around to get weird and wonderful sounds from the feedback.
(Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary)
- The return of a fraction of the output signal from an amplifier, microphone, or other device to the input of the same device; sound distortion produced by this.
I do not want to interrupt the debate, but there is a bit of feedback coming through the microphones.
They heard a loud feedback from a microphone and turned around to see where it was coming from.
(Oxford Dictionaries)
- "I Feel Fine" is most famous for its use of feedback in the intro, the first intentional use of feedback on record. It was produced by Paul plucking a sustained A on his bass with the vibration feeding back from John's VOX AC 30 guitar amp.

- "I Feel Fine" starts with a single, percussive (yet pure-sounding) feedback note produced by plucking the A string on Lennon's guitar. This was the very first use of feedback preceding a song on a rock record.
According to McCartney, "John had a semi-acoustic Gibson guitar. It had a pickup on it so it could be amplified.... We were just about to walk away to listen to a take when John leaned his guitar against the amp. I can still see him doing it...it went, 'Nnnnnnwahhhhh!' And we went, 'What's that? Voodoo!' 'No, it's feedback.' 'Wow, it's a great sound!'

この単語の説明に a wailing noise in a loudspeaker due to electrical or acoustic feedback (Oxford Dictionaries) と feedback を使った例があった。

A Hard Day's NightとI Feel Fineの一発めの音で雷に打たれた若い日を思いだしました。
